Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and relevant national and international guidelines.

For studies involving human participants, authors must confirm that the research was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and applicable national regulations. Authors must provide the name of the approving ethics committee or institutional review board (IRB), the approval reference number where applicable, and a statement confirming that informed consent was obtained from all participants or their legal representatives.

Authors must ensure the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of research participants and protect personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

For studies involving animals, authors must confirm compliance with recognized standards for animal welfare and ethical treatment. Authors must provide details of approval from the appropriate institutional or national ethics committee, including the approval reference number where applicable.

Editors may request additional documentation related to ethical approval, informed consent, or compliance with relevant regulations at any stage of the editorial process.
