Authors must ensure the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of research participants and protect personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

For studies involving animals, authors must confirm compliance with recognized standards for animal welfare and ethical treatment. Authors must provide details of approval from the appropriate institutional or national ethics committee, including the approval reference number where applicable.
